Last night, I had a lovely evening at the Y.E.S! Vancouver's fifth annual Speaker Series. The panelists from TELUS, Aritzia, Laughing Stock and Clearly Contacts shared their past experiences, strategies for building a successful brand, and why their organizations thrive on the west coast and beyond.  I am more and more thankful every time I am able to attend a Y.E.S.! event, since I always learn something new, meet some really fabulous people, and have a lot of fun - all for a good cause.

This past Tuesday, I had a great time at the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE)  Roundtable event at the SFU Surrey Campus. It was a great opportunity to listen to some marketing experts provide insightful discussion on how to make your brand come alive.

I had a great night last Thursday at Y.E.S! Vancouver's sold-out event: Set and Achieve Your 2012 Personal and Professional Goals. It was an inspiring evening, and it reminded me of the importance of not only setting goals, but also sharing your goals. Two of my 2012 goals are: run my first half marathon, and make the time to update my photography blog at least once a month! What are yours?

On Saturday night, I attended a wonderful night of song and dance at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver entitled Woza Afrika: Youth 4 Youth. If you don't know about EwB, I encourage you to check out their website at http://educationwithoutborders.ca/. They are doing great things!

Last night, I attended the Y.E.S! Vancouver event at Goldfish Pacific Kitchen entitled: Fresh Start for Fall: Building Your Personal Brand Online. The guest speaker was Megan Halkett, the Owner of Patio Social, a communications and social media firm. She had some really great tips on how to improve your online presence!
